Podcasting and Audio

What is the Red Pill? The Red Pill is a philosophy. It was an odd path that led to my discovery of the Red Pill. The day started with an urge to understand and implement audio to write and create content. In the span of a day I’ve switched over to dictation, embraced podcasting and made my phone a more powerful tool. After installing podbean from google play I set up a playlist, and listened […]

TPA – Structural Dynamics

Robert Fritz’s book The Path of Least Resistance introduced me to his Structural Dynamics achievement methodology that identifies oscillating and advancing patterns. He wrote a whole book, several books, revealing a planning process for achieving desires. For me, Structural Dynamics picks up where the Law of Attraction trails off. I’ve broken it down to three components: TPA. Target. Position. Action. The Target is the vision, the result, what you want to achieve. The Position is […]

Ten Gigs

I registered the domain name MJCollinsCo.com yesterday. Today I setup a blog and did some updates here on this blog. I’m currently running two gigs. A gig is a small shoestring business capable of producing immediate income with little or no investment. Russell Brunson has me all fired up on blogging as a vehicle to find my voice. The first couple of gigs need to generate immediate income. Not a lot but enough to cover […]

Manpod Welcome

What Happens in The Manpod gets Blasted to The Web The better part of the day went into setting up MJCollinsCo.com –my business blog. Having recently quit a job selling cars leaves me scrambling to secure sufficient sources of income. All of that discussion is being moved off to the business side of my life. The Manpod is a simple abode that’s shifted three times in less than three years. I recently returned from a […]

SiteOrigin Editor

The home page displays two columns. I was thinking about how I want my blog to look. I’ve used the Site Origin editor on other blogs. Without it something as simple as putting two images side by side can be a challenge. This all went down at 2am. It’s now almost 10am. I finally fell back asleep after getting the page layout tool working. I’m calling it an editor. I then updated my home page. […]

Cleaned Out Gmail

I had labels/folders in gmail for mailing lists, and my gmail was setup like a filing cabinet. That’s no more. I deleted all my filters and labels except one, “ACTION.” There’s no reason to look up account details in gmail. I’m going to file to Drive, or some other cloud service and stop using my email like a file cabinet. Gmail Is A Mailbox, Not A Filing Cabinet I used gmail’s default labels and searched […]

I Quit Selling Cars

I was asked in a Facebook group why I quit my job. I’d say it was because I was spinning my wheels. Quitting is not ideal but I am no longer constrained by lack of time. The job produced a lot of frustration and boredom. All of the effort I was putting into achieving mastery of my craft can now be directed toward getting a gig that clicks. Then another, and another. If I have […]

Defining My Blog

What follows was the front page of my blog. The fact that I recently sold cars, is that front page news? I’m reworking the front page trying to find a message. What’s the purpose of my blog? The About page has the same issue. Why do I have an about page? I had a job selling cars. Worked there for almost two years. It wasn’t the first time I sold cars, but it may be […]

Hating Bad Habits

I had a strange epiphany reading Russell Brunson’s book Expert Secrets. Hate motivated me to quit smoking. Hate also motivated me to quit drinking and give up pot. All of this happened about 30 years ago.

Track Time and Money

Yesterday I started tracking time and money. Darren Hardy recommends it in his book The Compound Effect. Looking back on my time yesterday I don’t see much of it logged in evaluating and discovering my new business opportunity. Today I’m going to look at what I did with my time yesterday and think about how I can use my time more effectively today, now. Time now. That’s what’s on my mind. The time is now.
